TERMS OF SERVICE

PAYMENT & ACCOUNT POLICIES

 

School Purchase Orders (POs)

  • DTU accepts POs from schools as a placeholder while awaiting school checks.

  • Regional, State, and Virtual Events: Payment must be received within 30 days after the event.

  • National Events: Payments must arrive by the provided deadlines.

  • Email POs and estimated check arrival dates to: registration@danceteamunion.com

Unpaid Balances

  • If there is an open balance on your DTU account, new event registrations may not be accepted until the balance is paid.

  • Teams who check in to a competition with an unpaid balance on their account may not be allowed to compete until payment is made.

Service Fees

  • All service fees are non-refundable.

Critiques & Scoresheets

  • Judges’ critiques and scoresheets may be withheld until full payment is received.

 

CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOW POLICIES

Regional, State & Virtual Competitions

  • Changes or cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the event will be credited to your DTU account.

  • Changes or cancellations made within 24 hours of the event are not eligible for a credit or refund.

  • No-Shows: If a team is unable to attend fails to notify us at least 24 hours in advance, no refund will be issued.

  • Changes can be made through your registration account.

  • Refund requests or cancellation notices must be emailed to: registration@danceteamunion.com

National Championships

  • National events have separate policies regarding changes, cancellations, and no-shows.

  • Please refer to the event info page for details specific to each National Championship.

Overnight, Private & Semi-Private Camps

  • Changes or cancellations made within seven (7) days of the event will not be credited or refunded.​

  • No-show policies for camps follow the same rule—if no notice is given and your team does not attend, no credit or refund will be issued.

  • Refund requests or cancellation notices must be emailed to: registration@danceteamunion.com

 

 

REGISTRATION POLICIES

Overnight Camps - Age Requirements

  • All participants must be 10 years of age or older to attend an Overnight Camp.

  • DTU reserves the right to request age verification if needed to ensure compliance.

  • Exceptions are not permitted in order to maintain program structure and safety standards.

Private & Semi-Private Camps - Instructor-to-Participant Ratio

  • To ensure high-quality instruction and an optimal learning experience, the following instructor-to-participant ratio guidelines apply to all private and semi-private camps:

    • Standard Ratio: Each private and semi-private camp will be staffed with one (1) instructor per approximately 30 participants to maintain instructional effectiveness and engagement.

    • Exceeding 30 Participants: If the participant count exceeds 30, DTU will evaluate the need for an additional instructor. The decision will be made at DTU’s discretion based on how significantly the total surpasses 30 and the specific needs of the camp.

    • Requests for Additional Instructors: If the team’s coach requests additional instructors beyond what DTU assigns to their private or semi-private camp, a $1,000 fee per additional instructor will be added to the camp invoice.

    • DTU reserves the right to make final determinations on staffing to ensure instructional quality and efficient resource allocation.
