Valencea Vigee

Valencea Vigee is from New Orleans, Louisiana and began her dance journey at the age of 5 at The Benjamin’s school of dance and gymnastics. She attended Prairie View A&M University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work. While attending Prairie View, she was a member of the Marching Storm Black Foxes Dance Team and held the assistant captain position for two years. She became the auxiliary coach at Stephen F Austin High School in Houston,Texas in 2016 as a part time lecturer where she had the pleasure to work with the color guard, twirlers, and dancers until 2023. While working as an Auxiliary coach, in 2018 she embarked on a new journey by joining DCBD Dance Academy as the Jazz and Technique instructor for all levels until the end of 2020. In 2021, she began a new journey as the Assistant Director and Dance elective teacher at Humble Middle School where she still currently teaches. She has been honored to serve as a choreographer and judge for the Prairie View A & M University Black Foxes for 7 years.
