Assistant Director

Position Summary

Assistant Directors (ADs) are directors in training! While developing the skills and meeting the requirements of a director, ADs will learn and perform every crew position, supporting the director throughout the event. They will also be responsible for greeting clients and checking them in to the event.

Requirements

All DTU Crew members have the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in dance/dance team

  • Ability to travel on Fridays and Mondays between November and February

  • Capability to fly out of major US airports

  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist clients

  • Valid US driver's license or passport

  • Approved background check

Requirements for this specific position are as follows:

  • Proficient in directing awards ceremonies and making announcements on the microphone

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • In-depth knowledge of the dance competition industry

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
