TJ Jacobs has had a profound love for Dance since the moment he stepped on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University. For over 15 years, he has trained in various styles from fosse to contemporary jazz, with a passion for teaching hip-hop.
Jacobs unparalleled passion for the arts prepared him for several industry opportunities including touring with pop sensation Betty Who, work with Wyclef Jean, Showtek, and DJ Lina. His love for the stage continued on with the chance to perform twice at the Kennedy Center, Showtime at the Apollo, perform live in Times Square, Dream Magic Studios LA, Carnival: Choreographers Ball NYC, World of Dance: New York and New Jersey, Wizards Half-Time Show and Internationally.
As an Artist, Jacobs has enjoyed training and cultivating his craft in New York City through Street Styles such as House, Locking, Popping, Whacking and African Dance. He has recently studied extensively in NYC and LA under Hip Hop Legends such as: Rich and Tone, Flii Stylez, Tony Tzar, Luam, Sekou, Lee Daniels, Brian Footwork Green and Bryan Tanaka.
As an Educator, Jacobs is the Founder of Pace Setters Dance, a Renowned Hip- Hop based company for the youth in Washington D.C. Through the founding of the company, Jacobs now has many menteesors who have starred in television, film, and major performances with Artists across the U.S.
As a Speaker, Jacob has most recently been featured as a TEDx Youth Speaker in the Nation's Capital Washington D.C., and plans to speak more across the country in the near future.
