Sarah Derivan
Sarah has been a performance judge for over 20 years and safety judge for 9 years, judging primarily
for Varsity Brands, WACPC and local competitions throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. She has been
honored to judge prestigious year-end events such as WACPC JEM, Regionals, State and Varsity
Summit. Sarah has consulted with the FSU Golden Girls on their jazz routines that have finished in the
UDA College Nationals top 10 and in 2023 won the ICU Jazz gold medal. She was a member of her high
school and college dance teams and has 6 years of coaching experience, which include All Star youth
teams and middle school and high school teams at the regional, state and national level. Sarah has
served as the WACPC Safety & Education Judge Coordinator, a former member of the WACPC Board of
Directors, serving as Vice President, was the WACPC Dance Judge Coordinator and Trainer for 7 years.
She has completed dance judge training through USASF, NDCA, NDA, UDA, the Minnesota State High
School League/Judges Association of Minnesota Dance Teams (JAM), IDHSA and has completed
NFHS/WACPC and USASF Safety training. She looks forward to expanding her judging experience with
IDHSA and DTU this season. In her free time, Sarah enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and walks with
her dog.
