Sara Porzondek

Sara Porzondek has been dancing, coaching, and teaching in the metro Detroit area for over twenty years. She was a four-year member and captain of the nationally ranked Oakland University Dance Team, and graduated with a BA in English. After college she continued dancing professionally for two seasons for the NBA Detroit Pistons Dance Team, and one season for the MISL Detroit Ignition Dance Team. Sara has coached all levels of dance teams, from elementary all stars to three years as the head coach of her alma mater, OU. She currently is in her 11th season as the coach of the Almont Varsity Dance Team, and has most recently become a judge for the NAIA. On the studio side, Sara opened her own dance company, Utica Dance Center, where she continues to work with dancers focusing on progress, self-confidence, and building relationships to prepare them for the future.
