Chaneyra Valentine
Chaneyra D. Valentine has been enthusiastically involved in the dance world for over 20 years and counting. She is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has studied and taught jazz, hip-hop, modern ballet and lyrical/contemporary to students just beginning through the collegiate level. Chaneyra spent 4 years on her high school dance team, 2 years on a collegiate level dance team, 4 years as a MOKA Staffer, and currently a dance instructor at a local studio in Baton Rouge. Chaneyra has her bachelor's degree in Biology from Southern University and A&M College, Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in STEM education from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, and is currently working on her second Master's degree in Biology & her Ph.D. in Science and Mathematics Education from Southern University and A&M College. Chaneyra is currently a high school Biology teacher, judges local dance competitions, and choreographs in her spare time.
