Toneka Webb-Lund
Toneka R. Webb is the coach of the Varsity Song (Dance) Team at California High School in San Ramon, California. During her 25 years as coach, Toneka has led the team to the National Dance Team Championship, ranking at the national level 20 times. In the late 1990s, Toneka earned her B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Chico. She then went on to earn her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Hayward. She currently works as a Licensed Psychotherapist (Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist) in the San Francisco Bay Area. Additionally, she is a School Counselor at The Athenian School in Danville, CA. Toneka has coached California High School’s Dance Team throughout her life (and some of her childhood). She is the mastermind behind the moves- acting as both coach and choreographer, while continuing to do choreography for various events including various dance teams, corporate events, and even weddings. Many of Toneka’s former dancers have gone on to dance on several college teams, including: CSU Fullerton, University of Oregon, University of Kansas, San Diego State University, and St. John’s University. Many of her dancers have also gone on to dance professionally: Dancing with the Universal Dance Association, The Raiderettes, the Kansas City Chiefs, the San Diego Chargers, the Golden State Warriors, and even Broadway (Wicked and Frozen).
