Susan Gehringer
Sue has been involved in the dance/drill team world for over 45 years. She has directed, choreographed, judged, and coached teams all over the United States. She is a former board member of CADTD (California Association of Dance Team Directors) where she served two terms as president. She developed their Judge’s training program focusing on consistency and recruiting qualified professionals to judge for the California CADTD circuit. She is also a judge for SCSBOA adjudicating parade competitions, and Studio competitions in the Southern California market. Her professional choreography can be seen on TV, stage and industrials. Her past performance credits take her all over the United States and Japan. She continues to choreograph for Southern California teams. Her team choreography has consistently won at the national levels in virtually every year for the past 5 decades. Sue was named “Dance Educator of the Year” by the Orange County Performing Arts Center in both 2002 and 2005. She is heavily involved with curriculum development for the arts all over Orange County and is a visiting team member and chairperson for WASC school accreditation. She was an adjunct professor at University of Redlands in the Education Department. She holds both a Bachelor and Master degrees and 4 teaching credentials. She recently retired as Director of Dance of the Esperanza High School where she has been a teacher for 31 years.
