Patty Amaro
Patty Amaro, a Miami native, boasts a rich background with over 26 years of expertise in teaching, choreography, coaching, and judging within the dance realm. Her journey commenced with early training in various dance styles at Dancer's Point, spanning Flamenco, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop. Holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in interdisciplinary arts from Nova Southeastern University, Patty embarked on her career at St. Brendan High School, founding the Sabrette Dance Team. Later, she established the dance and drama program at WR Thomas Middle School, where she also serves as the Activities Director. Beyond her educational roles, Patty contributes as an adjudicator for diverse dance teams and studios in Florida. Notably, she held the position of Vice President at the Dade Association for Dance Educators from 2009 to 2018, actively participating in events such as the Superintendent’s Dance Showcase. Alongside her extensive contributions to the dance community, Patty is Co-CEO of Premier Travel Solutions, an airport concessions company. Thrilled to witness talent on the stage, Patty enters her first year at DTU Nationals, eager to witness dancers' brilliance and passion unfold.
