Laura Nares

Laura attended Carlsbad High School and was a four year member of the Lancer Dancers varsity dance team. Under the direction of Carrie Smith, the team was awarded 1st place National Champions in the Varsity Jazz division for three consecutive years in Orlando, Florida. The team also won the 2002 ESPN TV Challenge and was featured on ESPN. Laura graduated from Cal State San Marcos in 2008 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree. She is currently working towards her teaching credentials, with plans to become an elementary school teacher. Laura taught several “kid classes” at Carlsbad High School and has choreographed for the Lancer Dancers, CSUSM dance team and the YMCA. She is also a founding member of the Cal State San Marcos Lady Cougars ASI dance team.
