Katy Allen-Nyenbrink

Katy Allen-Nyenbrink has been a dance educator for 30 years with extensive experience as an instructor, choreographer, curriculum coordinator, coach, studio manager, mentor, and professor. She has led the Grand Valley State University Laker Dance Team from 2012-2014 to 15 Championship National Championship Titles.


In addition to coaching the GVSU Dance Team, she is a faculty member at Body Language Dance Company (Jenison, MI), Zeeland High Schools Fine Arts Dance Program in (Zeeland, MI), and at Hope College in (Holland, MI).



Katy holds a B.S. in Education and Science from Grand Valley State University and is certified in Acrobatic Arts. She previously taught in Alternative Education and as a Science Instructor. She resides in Grand Haven, MI with her husband and 13-year-old twin daughters.
