Dannis Zazueta
Dannis Zazueta has spent most of her professional career specializing in building, developing, and coaching dance curriculums. Dannis was inducted into the Mountain View High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018 for leading her teams to 20 Division I State Championship titles and 3 USA National titles. As a result she was recognized as one of the top 20 outstanding high school dance/pom programs in the country, as well as a finalist for NHSACA National Coach of the Year in Dance and Pom in 2012 and 2015. Dannis and her students have a broad range of achievements such as Alvin Ailey modern dance scholarships, YAGP ballet/contemporary gold medal distinction winners awarded at the Kennedy Center, “So You Think You Can Dance finalists”, as well as many students who now work professionally in the dance industry. Professional work of some of her students include working for Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, SIA, Nike, The Rockettes, World of Dance, Velocity Dance Convention, and American Ballet Theatre just to name a few. Dannis’s company DanceWorks was awarded many national choreography honors some of which included The Pulse National Choreographers Pick 2010 and 2012, Discount Dance National Choreography Winner in 2013, and Co Dance 2011 National Dance Educator of the Year. Dannis loves being able to mentor children whether it’s in class auditions scholarship opportunities, as well as judging competitions. She feels her greatest joy and blessing in life has been to be the mother of her two sons who have shared her with many.
