Brett Elder
Brett has been a studio instructor since 1985 focusing on tap and jazz and has choreographed for high school, college, and professional teams throughout the country. He studied dance in Los Angeles for 6 years, was a head instructor/summer camp choreographer for Dancz America summer camps, was a high school dance team head coach for 13 years, winning 7 state titles and had his team nationally ranked by UDA. He is currently a dance adjudicator in Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Utah, Indiana and Arkansas, as well as a judge for the Contest of Champions National Dance Contest. Brett has served on the executive board of the Missouri Dance Team Coaches Association since 1997, and currently serves as President, a position he has held for 18 years. He currently is choreographing and staging several middle and high school musicals. Brett is passionate about promoting a positive dance environment for all dancers as well as focusing on the power of positive coaching. Brett was recently inducted into his school district’s Hall of Fame for his service and dedication to students both in and out of the classroom. Brett and his wife Lisa reside in Kansas City, Missouri and have four amazing children.
