Backstage Manager

Position Summary

Backstage managers greet, check-in and interact with coaches and dancers during their time backstage before their performance. They also communicate with the warm-up room staff and the tabulators at the judging table to keep the competition running and on-time. Backstage managers set the tone of the team experience and are often recognized by our clients for their fun and outgoing energies.

Requirements

  • Ability to correctly announce routines on stage with energy and positivity

  • Energetic, upbeat, and encouraging personality that uplifts dancers and coaches

  • Skill in engaging and socializing with dancers in a professional and fun manner

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Ability to maintain competition pacing and event timing alongside the Warm-Up Manager and Assistant Tabulator

All DTU Crew members have the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in dance/dance team

  • Ability to travel on Fridays and Mondays between November and February

  • Capability to fly out of major US airports

  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist clients

  • Valid US driver's license or passport

  • Approved background check
