Coaches Union is a place for coaches to visit throughout their season to find tools for every occasion! We cater the resources on this page to the time of year, and provide opportunities for every coach's voice to be heard.

Dance Team Union strives to promote a more equitable diverse and inclusive dance team industry. In addition to efforts we continue to make internally within DTU, we encourage our coaches and teams to seek out opportunities for self-improvement and challenge themselves to be better.
Below, we highlight a few of many good resources for doing so. Your school may be willing to provide additional funding for your team to participate in or implement these resources.
I.NCL.UDE WORKSHOP:
One great resource specific to dance teams and run by important diverse voices in our industry is the i•ncl•ude workshop. The main focus of the program is inclusion | unity | diversity | equity. It’s designed for Coaches, Spirit Squad Coordinators, and Athletic Directors looking to improve themselves and take a deeper dive into running an inclusive program.
The goals of this program are to:
-
Empower teams to transform their culture through diverse thought, experience, and community engagement.
-
Build a stronger industry reputation of diversity and inclusion.
-
Promote anti-racism within teams.
READING SUGGESTIONS:
For a deep dive, utilize this Elle Magazine "Anti-Racist Reading List" to find informative books about Black history and the experience of disadvantaged groups in the United States.
Other powerful articles and videos to review and/or share with your team include:

HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR 2020-2021 COMPETITON SEASON?
Sign up for one of our Coach Connect sessions where we will be answering all your competition season questions!
These Coach Connect sessions will be a Zoom meeting where DTU Crew members will be online for an hour and a half to answer any and all of your questions!

Can't make either of these sessions? No problem! We plan on holding more Q&A sessions throughout the season. Let us know what days of the week and times work best for you and we will take that into account when planning future sessions!

Budgeting and fundraising is especially relevant this year! Check out these fundraising or budgeting ideas to keep you on track this year.
Get creative by including your alumni in your fundraising efforts, or by partnering with local teams to swap attire!
Are you looking for a better fundraiser?
Our average dance team raises over $200 profit per athlete in just one week!….and you’ll have the proceeds a week after your campaign ends.
You read that right.
You will have your money 15 days from the start of your campaign. There are no requirements for students to enter third party emails into a database to be harassed with automated emails for weeks on end. And we don’t send high pressure sales reps to interrupt your practices!
Schedule an eight minute, no obligation phone call with one of our non-commissioned fundraising coaches to learn how we’re different.
