CAMP STAFF ROLES
QUALIFICATIONS
MASTER INSTRUCTOR
-
Must also apply to be a camp instructor
-
Must meet all requirements listed under "camp instructor"

This position requires that you submit a choreography reel
-
Must have prior experience instructing your own master classes
-
Needs to have the ability to command a room and spark interest in campers who are new to your choreography style
-
Must be flexible with the choreography you submit

Must have the ability to read how dancers react and adjust choreography where necessary
HEAD INSTRUCTOR
-
Must have a working knowledge of the dance industry.

Needs to have the willingness to go the extra mile to effectively manage the event.

Must be able to effectively teach camp material and lead large group activities.

Need to have a positive, professional, and energetic attitude.

Must have the ability to foster relationships with all coaches, dancers, and staff.

Must have the ability to take responsibility for an entire event and properly manage your team's camp schedule.

Must be 18 years or older by June 1st, 2021.
CAMP INSTRUCTOR

Must have prior dance experience with a team or studio program.

Must be able to demonstrate technical skills and execute camp routines.

Need to have the ability to be highly active for long periods of time.

Must be able to effectively teach camp material and lead large group activities.

Need to have a positive, professional, and energetic attitude.

Must have a flexible summer and fall schedule with availability to work often.

Must be 18 years or older by June 1st, 2021.
REQUIREMENTS
All DTU camp staff must attend the mandatory camp staff training this upcoming May. This training may be held virtually or in-person and more details will be available once hired. If training is held in-person, DTU will cover the cost of travel, lodging, and food for this training.
Each DTU camp staff member will be required to work a minimum of 3 DTU Unity Camps, and 2 DTU Private Camps. This job requires that summer availability be open and flexible. There is a possibility that camps could also be scheduled in the fall.
